Thank you for your interest in teaching a two-hour community art class at Resourceful Santa Fe’s Community Studio space! We are excited to offer this to the creative reuse community. Below are a few details to help you plan and prepare for your proposed class. Please read the information below and scroll down to fill out the form.
Resourceful Santa Fe will provide basic supplies, such as scissors, glue, pencils, markers, hot glue guns, tape, rulers, paint, basic paints, brushes, paper, fabric, etc. If there is a required specific supply needed, please note this on the form below and we will work with you to determine what is possible and how best to proceed.
Resourceful Santa Fe offers teachers a $100 stipend to teach a class. Advertisement and class sign up will be done through Resourceful Santa Fe. Teachers are welcome to forward class information to their followers. The class fees for participants will be a sliding scale from $15-$30 per person and participants will be able to register in advance.
Resourceful Santa Fe will set up tables and chairs to accommodate up to 15 students. Teachers may come an hour in advance of class to set up as needed. Teachers need to ensure that they have cleaned up from their workshop and put supplies away when the workshop ends. There is a bathroom and a sink available. Any dirty paint water cannot go down the drain. It must be collected in a separate bucket and disposed of properly.
A representative from Resourceful Santa Fe will be on site to handle any issues that may arise and to open and lock up the building. Shopping at the Creative Reuse Center during community art studio classes will not be allowed.
We understand that some projects may not be fully completed during a two-hour class. These classes are meant to be a way in which the community can gather, create and learn together. We do not expect them to be master-level classes. Students may take unfinished projects home with them to finish later. Classes must end promptly at the scheduled end time of the class.
